DVConnect announces new strategic plan for 2025 onwards

At DVConnect, our purpose is clear: to support pathways to safety and healing from violence and interpersonal trauma. We are proud to share our new Strategic Plan: 2025 onwards, a roadmap that will guide our actions and priorities in the years to come.

Our plan reflects both the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead. We know that too many people in our communities continue to experience violence, and that the impacts ripple far beyond the individual. That is why our commitment remains strong: to offer high-quality, evidence-informed crisis and therapeutic support for every person who needs it.

This strategy is closely aligned with the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032, the overarching framework that unites services, governments, and communities in working together toward a shared goal: ending violence in all its forms. By aligning our priorities with this national vision, we are ensuring our efforts contribute to lasting, systemic change.

DVConnect CEO Joanne Jessop says she is excited to steer the organisation through this next chapter.

“This strategic plan sets a bold course for DVConnect as we work toward a future free from violence and trauma. Our new plan reflects the voices and needs of the communities we serve and is a commitment to every person who needs safety and healing. I am proud of the work that has gone into shaping our future direction.”

Our Vision and Strategic Pillars

Our vision is simple yet powerful: People in every community are safe from violence and interpersonal trauma.

To bring this vision closer to reality, our strategic intent is anchored by four key pillars:

  • People: we will develop and retain a talented and diverse workforce and be an employer of choice.
  • Innovation: we will continue to build on a culture of creativity and resourcefulness to drive change.
  • Integration: we will ensure all our efforts are directed towards achieving our purpose.
  • Practice: we will prioritise the safety and wellbeing of people experiencing violence, ensuring our staff deliver services and support that are timely and appropriate.

These pillars will guide our decisions, inspire our programs, and shape the way we work alongside communities to prevent violence and support recovery.

Moving Forward Together

The launch of this plan marks an important step, but it is only the beginning. Ending violence requires collective effort from governments, organisations, communities, and individuals alike.

We invite you to learn more about DVConnect’s vision and join us in building a safer future, free from violence and trauma.
