DVConnect announce Carly Jacobitz as Chair of the Board
DVConnect is pleased to announce the appointment of Carly Jacobitz as Chair of the Board, following her service as Interim Chair since September 2025 and her contribution as a Director since joining the Board in 2022.
A registered psychologist and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Carly brings more than 15 years of operational and executive leadership experience across the human services sector. She currently serves as Deputy Chief Executive at Life Without Barriers, where she leads child, youth and family services and has responsibility for some of Australia’s most vulnerable children, young people and families.
She also serves as a Board Member of PeakCare, Queensland’s peak body for child protection and family support services, and was appointed to the Queensland Government’s Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Taskforce in recognition of her expertise and commitment to reform and healing for those affected by institutional child abuse.
Throughout her career, Carly has been a strong advocate for vulnerable children, young people and families, championing evidence-informed practice, innovation and organisational sustainability. She is recognised for her ability to balance strategic leadership with a deep commitment to service quality and positive outcomes for the people and communities supported by the sector.
In her time serving on DVConnect’s Board, Carly has played an important role in supporting the organisation’s strategic direction during a period of continued growth and increasing demand for domestic, family and sexual violence support services.
As Chair, Carly will lead the Board in providing governance and strategic oversight, supporting DVConnect’s mission to help Queenslanders find pathways to safety and build lives free from violence and fear.
