Events in Queensland for Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month
May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month (DFVP Month). Preventing and responding to domestic and family violence involves everyone – whether that’s starting a conversation, fundraising for a good cause, or attending a community event.
Every week, DVConnect receives thousands of calls from people experiencing domestic and family violence. Our Counsellors coordinate emergency transport and housing, as well as safety planning, crisis counselling, intervention, information and referrals. We also support men who want to address their use of violence.
DVConnect works tirelessly to support victim-survivors and educate our community. Yet, demand for our services continues to rise. It’s up to all of us to take a stand and build a positive future where all lives can be free from violence.
We’ve put together this list of DFV Prevention events across Queensland, to help you find one close to you.
