Are you too busy to volunteer?
The personal and intimate needs of the hundreds of women and children we support and assist to safety each month often extend beyond the immediate need for a safe roof over their heads.
Often they may have fled their homes with nothing more than the clothes they were wearing, no spare clothes, or toiletries and can you imagine …a child without their own pyjamas let alone their favourite toys or comforter. Wherever possible DVConnect links in with local communities to help support these women with basics such as personal hygiene products or small items to provide distraction or comfort for the children.
With the very generous support from Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) we are able to provide ‘Care Packs’ to safe accommodation and refuges all over Queensland. If you can assist with donations please contact your local QCWA –www.qcwa.org.au
