What is Handstands For Hann?

On Saturday 7th March, everyone and anyone is invited to remember Hannah and her children by participating in something physical, examples include:
Attend a CrossFit class (CrossFit will be hosting a ‘Workout for Hann’), and make a donation at CrossFit in memory of Hannah and her children.
Attend a fitness class anywhere, then make a donation in memory of Hannah and her children.
Go to the gym and do your normal routine, then make a donation in memory of Hannah and her children.
Go for a run – then make a donation in memory of Hannah and her children.
–  Then make a donation in memory of our friend Hannah Clarke and her 3 young children.

If you can’t exercise at the moment, no problems, you can still make a donation in memory of Hannah and her children.

A message from the fundraiser organisers

“On Wednesday 19th February, as a community we lost our beautiful friend, Hannah Clarke and her three young children aged 6, 4 and 3. They died in a horrific act of violence. The grief and trauma of this is incomprehensible. The CrossFit and fitness community are urging everyone to come together. We hope the awareness we raise goes towards putting us all in a better position to spot the warning signs, and what we can do to help. All proceeds go to DVConnect, who provide support to people impacted by family and domestic violence. Please show your support by linking arms with us. Workout ‘Hann’ (details will be released in the coming days – It involves her favourites: handstand walks + lunges). We will include a workout option for non CrossFit gyms as well.”

  • Gym Owners… Please host this workout in your gym/venue on Saturday 7th March, to honour of Hannah, Aaliyah, Laianah and Trey.
  • Gym Members/Attendees… Please support your fitness centre and help fight domestic and family violence.
  • Running groups… Please take a moment to remember Hannah and her children, then donate in their memory.

Thank you for your help, for everything you have done for me over the last few days. Your services are more than impressive and impeccable for anyone who may be in danger or in need of help of any kind. I may not be here today without your protection and the services you provided me. It is amazing to know there are people out there that give their absolute best to keep others safe, because they can and they care. Before making the call to you I felt too ashamed and far too proud to ask anyone for help. But now I feel strong knowing that I had the courage to put my hand up and ask for help. It saved my life!
